A little information about our man behind the lens

Steve has worked for over 10 years as Director of Photography or Cameraman on TV shows, documentaries and feature films. He has shot numerous documentaries in Kenya, South Africa, Mozambique, Senegal, Zambia, Brazil, Rwanda, Uganda and Swaziland including:

  • United Nations, "Free and Equal" - 2018 & 2019
  • World Wildlife, Fund "Persistent Poison" - 2018
  • International Committee for the Development of Peoples, "Women of the Blue Economy" - 2018
  • BBC Media Action, "Wash" - 2017
  • Made in Copenhagen, "The Last Warriors" - 2016
  • Sports Brand Australia, "Train To Win" - 2012

Steve has also shot documentaries for the Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), The Save the Children Fund (commonly known as Save the Children), British Council, Safaricom and Standard and Chartered Bank amoung many others.

He has been the Director of Photography on numerous television shows including:

  • "Popo" drama series, commissioned by Zuku - 2015
  • "Parasites" drama series, on Mnet - 2012 to 2014
  • "Dramas of Life" series, on NTV - 2017
  • "Waridi" series, on MNet - 2015 to 2016
  • "Seeds of Gold" series, on NTV - 2015 to 2016
  • Africa Rising show, on Mnet - 2008-2010

Steve was Director of Photography on the Kenyan interactive action film "Simiyu Samurai" that won 5 awards at the Kalasha Film Awards in 2013 and 2014

Steve was Director of Photography with "Jongo Love", the first show to be shot entirely on smartphone, it was aired on local TV station NTV and went on to be featured on BBC International, The Guardian and other international media outlets.
